This Sustainability Report is the first environmental, economic, social and governance (EESG) disclosure of Filinvest Hospitality Corporation (FHC) and Chroma Hospitality Inc. (CHI), collectively known as Filinvest Hospitality or may be referred to as “our company” in this report. In writing this report, our company was guided by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards and the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), particularly the sector standards for Hotels and Lodging and Restaurants (Food and Beverage Sector). Specifications in the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Memorandum Circular No. 4, Series of 2019 were used as reference for the non-financial disclosures.

In response to the pile-up of trash and plastic in Philippine coastal waters, FLI, FDCUI and the hotels participated in annual coastal clean-up programs where employees helped to clean the shoreline in various locales. FLI continued its annual Keep it Green treeplanting activity while FDCUI committed to support a mangrove rehabilitation program in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental by providing a one-year maintenance and monitoring fund. The hotel group, through CHI, launched an Anti-Plastic Pollution Program which aims to reduce plastic use in the hotels.
